Hair donation

CWHL (Children with Hair Loss). This nonprofit accepts hair donations from adults or children and sends the hair to a wigmaker who completes the wig when a request is processed. A wig may be requested for any child who has lost hair due to any disease. Their site explains about the program, donation requirements, and how to apply for hair. Locks of Love. This nonprofit organization provides donated hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the USA and Canada under age 21. Donors may be children or adults. Each recipient has long term hair loss due to medical treatment for cancer or has alopecia areata. Their goal is to help chilren restore their self-esteem and their confidence allowing them to face the world and their peers. Donations must follow certain guidelines. Pantene Beautiful Links. They take hair donations from adults or children send them to a wig maker. The finished wigs are donated to the American Cancer Society for distribution to adult women with cancer who have lost their hair. The Pantene website outlines the history of the program, donation requirements, and how to make the cut. Call the Pantene call center with further questions at 800-945-7768 ext 3 Mon-Fri 9am-6pm EST.  

Wigs For Kids. An organization to help children 18 years or younger who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, alopecia, trichotillomania, burns, or other medical issues. There is no cost to the children or their families. Read about the history of this organization, how to apply for hair replacement, and how to donate hair.
